The Art of the Ceasefire Deal

Trump outflanked every analyst of every hue three weeks ago when he ordered a ceasefire in Gaza. I have written about the ceasefire deal here, and here, and I have nothing to add about the ceasefire itself. Phase 2, which began on Monday, was always my biggest concern in maintaining the ceasefire—and it seems from Mr Trump’s comments yesterday, that it is the USA’s biggest concern too.
