Disinformation is everywhere. However, a disinformation campaign is far more than merely the spread of lies and half-truths. Disinformation campaigns deliberately target vulnerabilities hard-wired into human thought processes.

I am now going to take a long look at some of these vulnerabilities in the hope that readers will begin to recognise them and be better able to avoid or counter them, or at least better understand what is happening on the media battlefield in the raging online war you see before you every day.
